Tell us something about you?And how would you describe your site to new readers?
I am a dreamer, an achiever, an artist, compulsive foodie, food blogger, recipe developer, content writer, food photographer, food stylist and a homemaker. Being blessed with a foodie family and 2 adorable daughters who are extremely picky and fussy eaters my experiments with food has found new bounds. The recipes on my website www.hetalkamdar.com are tried and tested in my kitchen and are fairly simple and easy to execute. It can be incorporated into any cooking repertoire and are addictive enough to recreate memories.
When did you start blogging and what has inspired you to do so?
I started blogging a year ago. Cooking has always been my passion and experimenting with different food, textures, fresh fruits and vegetables is something I love to do on a regular basis. My friends and family have inspired me to start this blog.
The photos of your recipes are one of the highlights of your blog. What are the elements that go into each photo?
For me photography has evolved as a learning curve in this journey. I love and enjoy clicking food pictures more than anything else. I am not a professional photographer but have managed to click fantastic food pictures that are drool worthy. I click from my Nikon DSLR and try to play with different moods, themes, backgrounds, food props and flowers. I don't have much technical knowledge but surely have an "creative eye for the frame" and that reflects in my each food photo that connects well with my viewers. Future plan is to expand my lexicon beyond these and learn more about professional food photography.
Have there been any mistakes along the way that you have learn t from?
Blogging is a journey where in you learn and explore. Mistakes occur but learning from it makes one stronger. I have made some baking blunders and have overcome it with the help of my fellow blogger friends. Apart from it I don't think of any.
